Important calendar dates are now listed on the front page of our website.  Clicking on all upcoming dates provides you with a listing of all upcoming important dates.  Clicking on all calendars provides you with a listing of important billing, financial aid, registration, and university calendars.

To further help our new students, we've created the New Student Notebook.  This portion of our website is designed to inform new students of important billing, financial aid, and registration information.
Parent Guide
Our new Parent Guide is designed to help answer the most frequently asked questions by parents.
Expanded Student Resources

Revised Navigation
Our revised navigation is designed to help you quickly find the information you need.  It's also been designed to provide more information about the links listed.  Clicking on any heading, such as MY CLASSES, directs you to detailed information about that section of our website.
More Student Health Information
Health insurance waiver deadlines, clinic locations, waiver status, and additional student health information are available by clicking on waive my health insurance, located under MY BILL, on the left side of this page.
Updated Branding
To provide more continuity between our website and others at UC, we've worked to refine the look and feel of our website.  An effort has been made to not only change the look of the website, but also clarify information, navigation, and overall ease of use.  Learn more about branding at UC.

Frequently Asked Questions about the New Website

Q: Why did you create a new website?
A: An analysis of our former website revealed approximately 25 percent of our content was viewed less than 1 percent of the time by users.  This statistic, combined with the need for graphical and website administration improvements, necessitated the redesign.

Q: Where did the link to Bearcat Online email and Blackboard go?
A: As with most UC websites, the Bearcat Online (BOL) email and Blackboard are located under UC Tools, located in the top right of our website.  You'll find this top menu is common for most websites here at UC.

Q: Where did the link to get registration info go?
A: Formerly a seperate page, this information is now found by clicking on MY CLASSES, then Additional Registration Information.

Q: Where did the link to information go?
A: The content found on this former page has been distributed amongst other new pages; most notably MY CLASSES, MY BILL, MY FINANCIAL AID and MY INFORMATION

Q: Where did the link to check my waiver status go?
A: Students can check their health insurance waiver status by clicking on waive my health insurance, located under MY BILL on the left side of this page.  This website also includes information about waiver deadlines, clinic locations, and other student health information.

Q: Where did the MY ADVISOR section go?
A: Academic advising resources are now found under academic advice, located under OTHER RESOURCES

Q: Where did the MY QUESTIONS section go?
A: The frequently asked questions found under the former MY QUESTIONS have been incorporated into the new Virtual Advisor

Q: Where did links to distance learning and other services go?
A: Other, non-One Stop related services, are found by clicking on OTHER RESOURCES

Q: Where did links to registration and financial aid go?
A: These former links directed users to the websites of the Office of the Registrar and Student Financial Aid Office.  Students expressed confusion about the difference between these links and information found under MY CLASSES and MY FINANCIAL AID.  To avoid confusion, we've removed these direct links from the front page of our website.  These links, along with links to other offices One Stop directly serves, are found under Service Hours and Additional Information located in the footer of each web page.

Q: Why didn't the Virtual Advisor answer my specific question?
A: The Virtual Advisor provides general answers to many questions students may have at the university.  An example of a general question is, "How do I add a closed class?"  If the Virtual Advisor does not answer your question in enough detail, please use the "Click here to get a personal answer" found toward the bottom of that web page.  This will allow you to submit a more detailed question for our staff.  We will answer your question as soon as possible.  For immediate assistance, please feel free to contact our office during service hours.

Q: When I ask a question of the Virtual Advisor, I receive a lot of information.  Why is this?
A: The Virtual Advisor tries to match your question against as many answers as possible.  This may result in receiving more information than was expected.  We would encourage you to scroll through all of the answers provided to your question.  Often, you'll find the answer to your question may be listed below the first answer provided.

Q: I asked a question of the Virtual Advisor and nothing happened, is there something wrong?
A: The Virtual Advisor is designed to open a new window once you've asked a question.  Web browsers (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari) have built-in features designed to block unwanted new windows that "pop-up" on your computer screen.  While most of these blockers will not intefere with the Virtual Advisor, consider temporarily turning off this your pop-up blocker if you're having problems.  Pop-up blocker settings are commonly located within the "Tools" or "Preferences" settings within your web browser.
