Help me with my classes...

Your educational goals are the most important priorities for our office.  While One Stop does not provide academic advising, our services help you throughout the registration process.

Blue Arrow Registration
Enrolling in classes is an easy process on our website.  If you are an incoming freshman, you'll most likely need to meet with your Academic Advisor prior to initially enrolling.  For most incoming freshman, this meeting occurs during summer orientation.
Blue Arrow Adding or Dropping a Class
We understand that sometimes it is necessary to add, drop, or withdraw from classes after you've registered.  Prior to certain deadlines each quarter, this can be done online. After these deadlines the signatures of your instructor and the college offering the course will be required to add a course and your instructor's signature will be needed to withdraw from a course. These dates, along with other important deadlines, are listed on the front of the OneStop website.  You should also always review the calendars on our website before making any decisions that may impact your registration and your bill.
Blue Arrow How Adding or Dropping Impacts Your Bill and Financial Aid
Undergraduate students are considered "full-time" if they register for 12 or more quarterly credit hours.   If an undergraduate registers for less than 12 hours, they are considered "part-time".  As full-time students are charged differently than part-time students, your tuition and fees may change if you add or drop classes. Also, the financial aid listed on your aid award is based on full-time or part-time enrollment. As such, if your registration changes, your financial aid may also change.  Before making any registration decisions that may result in your full or part-time status changing, consider contacting our office
Blue Arrow Academic Advising
Unfortunately One Stop is unable to assist you with academic advising.  However, the university has great resources that can help.
Blue Arrow Blackboard
Blackboard is an online learning community used by your academic Instructors and Professors.  Often your class syllabi, assignments, lecture notes, and other important academic information are posted once the quarter has started.

Help me with my bill

Blue Arrow Your Bill
Registering for classes or using other university services creates a bill in your name. Autumn quarter bills are available online beginning in mid-August.  Once posted, your bill is available for viewing at any time.  The university makes your bills available on a quarterly basis.
Blue Arrow When does UC notify me of my bill?
The university will send a billing notification to your Bearcat Online (BOL) email account.  If you are an incoming freshman, you will learn more about your BOL account at summer orientation.  Any changes made to your bill will also result in a notification to you.  Important Note:  Failure to receive, read, or act upon your bill does not remove your financial obligation to the university.  For this reason, it is very important to periodically check your bill online and pay your bill on time.
Blue Arrow Understanding Your Bill
To help you with your bill, One Stop has created Understanding Your Bill (PDF).  You can also find this publication in your summer orientation binder.
Blue Arrow Financial Aid
Most students use some type of financial aid to help pay their bill.  Due to federal regulations, not all of your accepted aid may post to your bill once your bill is available for viewing.  Some aid, notably federal loans, credit to your bill approximately a week prior to classes beginning.  The Student Financial Aid Office offers advice on how your financial aid and bill fit together
Blue Arrow Refunds
If your bill has a credit overage (resulting from federal financial aid) listed as the balance due, this credit will be issued to you in the form of a refund.  Students will be mailed a check or can sign up for direct deposit. Federal PLUS Loan overpayments will be mailed to parents.  Due to when your loan is allowed to credit to your bill, refund checks are typically issued one week prior to the start of the quarter.

Help me with my financial aid

Blue Arrow Your Financial Aid
At any time, you can accept and view your financial aid online.  If you have filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and that application has been received by the university, either an aid award or additional needed information will be posted.
Blue Arrow Additional Information
Additional information, such as federal income tax returns, may be needed by the Student Financial Aid Office to help determine your aid award.  If the university requires additional information, please provide that information as soon as possible.  Once the university has received and reviewed this information, an aid award will be created.  If you have questions about the information required, please feel free to contact us.
